Deus Ex Games In Chronological Order
There are many mysterious locations and locked areas in the world of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Here are the passwords that will get you to the secrets hidden within.
May 13, 2015 If you mean what makes the most sense story-wise, I would play them in order of release. Deus Ex, Invisible War, Human Revolution, then The Fall. Invisible War and Human Revolution both have many character appearances and references to the original, so you'd definitely get the most out of their stories if you played the original first. There are 75 eBooks (Collectibles) in Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Finding all their locations unlocks the Tablet Collector trophy / achievement. This guide shows them in chronological story order.
Since its release last week, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has faired pretty well among gamers. While it’s not without minor issues, the game has been able to avoid the same type of negativity that’s surrounded No Man’s Sky in recent weeks.
As players have been making their way through the strong sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, they’ve undoubtedly discovered the many locked doors, computers, and safes just waiting to be opened and hacked. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is littered with them, though some aren’t easily opened.
Fortunately, the below list provides the necessary passwords to help player bypass the locks and find the goodies contained within. While the below list of codes isn’t exhaustive, it should be enough to keep players busy searching for and unlocking many of the secrets Deus Ex: Mankind Divided holds.
Deus Ex Games In Chronological Order Of Books
The various safes, locked rooms, and other hidden compartments around Deus Ex: Mankind Divided contain many rewards players will want to get their hands on. As expected, players can find weapons, consumables, ammo, and other items to aid them on their way. Many of the locked areas are hidden from view, with something blocking them or keeping players from easily reaching them. In order to find the best safes and locked areas, Mankind Divided players will need to slow down their gameplay and spend some time exploring the various locations they visit.
A big tip is to scour any living or working spaces players find themselves in. There are dozens of laptops, safes, and other secret areas in the game, so chances are high that players will find some by searching. In many instances, passwords and codes can be found in the same or nearby area, or on a person the player has to knock out or kill.
Those who are just starting the game can get some practice with searching out hidden areas in Jensen’s own apartment and throughout the first area players explore. Over time, players will get better at finding the hidden locations and obtaining their rewards. For those who would like a little help finding and unlocking the secret caches and information in Mankind Divided, be sure to check out the below list.

contrivances in the series, I think, come from the first book. This is pretty valid, considering extraordinary circumstances are usually what sets up and concludes a plot, but some of them are the results of pretty stacked dice. For in The Hunger Games, like any good novel, the odds are always in the plot's favor.
(The following are in chronological order. Your mileage may vary.)
Prim's Reaping
Honestly, if Katniss herself were Reaped, it would be less poignant. Sure, Prim's odds are really small, but I feel I can cut Collins a break here.
The Mockingjay Pin
Of course the pin of the most rebellious tribute has the animal that symbolizes things the Capitol has not intended/the Rebellion on it. Of course it does.
The Rule Changes
Because the 74th time you do something, you're going to make an unprecedented change. Now, granted, there are political motivations and personal motivations that definitely influenced this--the movie makes a huge deal out of Haymitch lobbying people--but when strictly speaking about the plot of the novel, this is a total shift in the plot line (which is appropriate, considering that it happens at the end of the second act). The change back to a sole Victor is much more in character for the Gamemakers and the Capitol, but the retraction of the retraction is a bit ridiculous, in terms of luck. Yes, it makes sense because they need a Victor and they don't need riots, but, really, it's there to make sure that Katniss doesn't have to kill Peeta, and so we, as readers, don't have to decide whether or not that would have been the right decision or not.
Thresh's Death
As someone on TV Tropes aptly wrote, 'If Katniss ever thinks that she doesn't want to kill a person during the games, she won't have to.' From a reader's perspective, Katniss killing the boy who saves her life would probably give someone heartburn. It's also a pretty practical contrivance as well. I mean, Katniss willing admits in chapter 9 that she'd bet on Thresh if she could. He's one of the most formidable opponents in the Games, and I seriously doubt the District 12 pair could survive fighting both Thresh and Cato.
Nightlock
Okay, first of all, it kills Foxface, which saves narrative space and actually helps with the sympathy aspect. We like Foxface because she's clever, but her tragic flaw is that she's not smart enough (or maybe that Peeta isn't). It would feel unjust for her to lose by violence, like someone taking a gun to a swordfight.
Secondly, the ending. Katniss conveniently has the equivalent of a suicide pill in her pocket, and she has enough for two people, and she remembers that she has it, and she figures out that the Capitol won't let both of them die. That's a lot of ands.
General Luck of the Good Victors, at Least During the Games
Haymitch (who doesn't kill Maysilee Donner, Madge's aunt, if you remember), Joanna, and even Finnick have odds I'd gamble with, but perhaps the most obvious is Annie. She's the perfect symbol of the problems of the Capitol--she didn't kill anyone, but she ended up tragically broken anyway. None of the Victors that we like have easy lives, but most of them didn't win the Games on skill alone. Those that were probably outright favorites--Brutus, Cashmere, Gloss--are usually portrayed as vicious creations of the Capitol. No one on the good side is allowed to be just a killing machine, and so their wins cannot be replicated.
Honorary Mentions:
Katniss escaping the first Games with no lasting damage (though this fortune is obviously reversed in the later books), Rue's death, Mag's death, the death of anyone Katniss likes (see Thresh), Prim's death as resolution to the Peeta/Gale conundrum.
