Okay, I bought Dead Island on Friday and I've been enjoying it so far, however I think I may have came across a bug which kind of breaks the game as it forced me to restart from the beginning with a new save because it wouldn't let me progress to the next main quest.

Two spades can be found in front the River Village safe house, the hut where Jin leads the Hero when first entering the Jungle during Act III; it's convenient as it's very close to a fast travel portal. After the quest is complete there will be a large grave in the cemetery with a Shovel (not a spade) on it. When you clear Dutch’s Island, fast travel will be unlocked and available for use. The way fast travel works in Far Cry 5 is that you must unlock a location to use it as a fast travel point. This means you’ll have to make the trip by foot, vehicle, aircraft, or helicopter at least once.
This is how it works, when you get the main quest 'To Kill Time' in the lifeguard tower after clearing out all of the undead you get your first chance to do a few subquests. Being as this is basically an RPG I felt it was best if I did all the subquests before I did the main quest so that I had enough XP to deal with whatever new challenges faced me in the next part. However this is where the problem is, down by the railings facing the beach you find Mike standing next to a pile of bodies he wants you to help him burn, I had already done a little exploration so I had a car I got from escorting the woman trapped in the bungalow (I forgot her name) to the lighthouse.
Since I had the vehicle, I could get the fuel without any problem, and seeing as it's a simple fetch quest it didn't really take all that long. However, once you complete this quest Mike moves to the top of the lifeguard tower and his quest changes to one that can never be completed because it's continuous. He now will give you Molotov cocktails for every five bottles of alcohol you can get for him, which is good until you realize that completing his mission is half of the main quest. I then went to talk to Dominic as the main quest suggested and found out that he wanted me to go to the lighthouse to retrieve a transmitter, the problem was, I'd already been to the lighthouse I also took the oppertunity to do all of the side quests while I was there, including the one that lets me into the lighthouse warehouse.
At this point I also wanted to see how the fast travel worked in the game out of curiosity, so I decided to kill two birds with one stone and complete the mission using the fast travel to get from the lifeguard tower to the lighthouse and back again, since it was the last part of the main quest and I didn't mind skipping through it to get to the next part. Turns out when you get there you cannot pick up the transmitter, there is no prompt to do so and somehow the quest thinks that you do. When I returned to the lighthouse, thinking I had done what it wanted me to do, Dominic was right there as I left him and there was no prompt to talk to him again (his name now shows up green, meaning I completed the quest). However when I return to Sinamoi again he acts like I'm still doing the quest and his text is also green, so I'm essentially stuck there with no hope of progressing.
Either I missed something or the game bugged out on me, I'd like to know if anyone else experienced this and if there's any way to fix it. Hopefully I'm just being a dumbass and I missed something completely obvious.

I think we should make a list of things we'd like to see patched in the Definitive Collection. I'm planning on sending this list to Techland.
In both Dead Island: Definitive Edition and Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition, zombies sometimes clip through objects, making them harder or impossible to hit and loot.
According to Deep Silver, the Patch 1.3 Blueprints now spawn in random locations, but no player has found these blueprints. Deep Silver should return the Blueprints to their original locations. The Ripper mod should also be placed somewhere on the map or be automatically unlocked.
In Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition, boats will sometimes refuse to start, requiring the player to reload their last save.
In Dead Island: Definitive Edition, sometimes when you open a door you cannot enter the building and any zombies within cannot exit.
You shouldn't have to crouch to enter an RV in Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition.
Bring back kickable beach balls in Dead Island: Definitive Edition!
When I downloaded Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition to my uncle's gaming laptop (which runs Dead Island: Definitive Edition perfectly), the frame rate was awful even on minimum settings and unplayable on medium or maximum.
Both games have a strange AI issue where sometimes when a zombie notices you, it will lunge in the opposite direction, usually with humorous results.
Zombie can't be hit from on top of a car, which makes no sense.
Occasionally, a player with full health can be hit once by a zombie and be killed instantly. I'm sure that this is zombies throwing knives, but this shouldn't instantly kill the player at full health. How often do you think a zombie is going to score a headshot?
NPCs frequently block your way. For example in Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition, Chimimanda and Dr. Jane are currently blocking me from getting to Zoey after the theater rooftop defense mission.
In the final boss fight to Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition, Harlow will warn you of incoming infected despite her trying to kill you.
I think that the skills from Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition should be added to Dead Island: Definitive Edition.
Some players have encountered a glitch where on New Game Plus, their character EXP won't scale, so they have to grind a lot more to reach the max level.

While driving vehicles, some players have ran into invisible walls.
Another glitch that has been reported for Dead Island: Definitive Edition is the weapon lootbox giving money and medkits and every zombie drops random guns, ammo, or medkits.
In Dead Island: Definitive Edition, infected in the City of Moresby will attack, but instantly respawn once killed, only to run at you again until you leave the area. Makes the right side of Moresby unplayable.
While in Dead Island: Definitive Edition Chapter 5 joining a co-op session with another player in Chapter 5, the player's progress skipped to Chapter 13 and he can't return to his original progress.
There is a quest log glitch where after turning in or accepting a quest, when you go back into your quest log, you can't scroll through the quests. You have to relog when this happens in order for the quest log to work normally.
