May 31, 2017 Here is a good place to discuss tactics etc for the new edition and how it will affect our Empire. Just to start- here's a post about Markerlights: Re Tau markerlights: if I'm reading it correctly entries 1 and 5 on the chart would apply in thr Fight phase if markerlights were placed on Overwatch. The new codex basically turned Tau into Imperial Guard armed with Eldar-grade equipment - it's practically suicide to charge a Tau gunline, especially with all the other disadvantages assault armies now have in the 8th edition meta. Strength 5 guns everywhere means your troops have an easier time wounding most MEQ things and T8 tanks/monsters. Mar 13, 2018 Could I use some of these older tactics in the current Warhammer 40,000 environment? Typically I see armies like Frankie’s, with loads of battlesuits, which makes sense as they’re beautiful models and uniquely T’au. So I set out on a journey to do something different and hopefully quite effective, too! Tags: 40K 8th tactics tau. Warhammer 40k tau units.
